Mission of the Newington Wrestling Alumni Association

1) Promote Richard Hastings’ ideals and memory
Examples - List Rich’s ideals on a website, a plaque in Rich’s memory at Newington High School, solicit the Board of Education to name a facility in his honor, etc.

2) Support the current Newington Wrestling program
Examples - Coaching, attending matches, mentoring, fund-raising, advocating, etc.

3) Provide educational and/or wrestling camp scholarships
Examples – College scholarships to current wrestlers or family of members, wrestling camp scholarships to current wrestlers

4) Support each other and the community
Examples - Charitable donations, community service, web forum etc.

5) Preserve the history of Newington Wrestling
Examples - Members, coaches, pictures, videos, newspaper articles, letters, records, statistics, etc.
